Business and Human Resources: Virtual Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Chapter

Graphic Text of the letters SHRM, and a message underneath that says Better Workplaces Better World

The B.S. Human Resource Management program at the UNH College of Professional Studies is recognized as an SHRM aligned program. The HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates  developed by SHRM define the minimum HR content areas that should be studied by HR students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The guidelines are part of SHRM鈥檚 Academic Initiative to define HR education standards taught in university business schools and help universities develop degree programs that follow these standards.

As a way to provide additional opportunities for students interested in human resources, UNH CPS has established a virtual SHRM chapter, in which students hold the executive roles, including President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Director of Corporate Relations, Director of Student Relations, and more.

Benefits of the Student SHRM membership include:

  • All the same membership benefits as professional members.
  • Network with over 300,000 global members and professionals.
  • Utilize valuable career resources, such as resume and interview assistance, job search tools, and more.
  • Earn SHRM Professional Certification Credentials.

The student membership rate is only $49, discounted from an annual professional membership rate of $244.
