UPIKE optometry students awarded National Vision scholarships

Four 糖心视频-Kentucky College of Optometry (KYCO) students were awarded scholarships from National Vision. This marks the second year of National Vision鈥檚 pledge to KYCO to provide $20,000 in scholarships annually for five years, totaling $100,000. The scholarship funds four incoming first-year optometry students interested in practicing in rural communities, each receiving $5,000.

The scholarship recipients for the 2024 academic year are Kyle Boyette, Jordan Buchanan, Amber Burton and James Davie. Dean of KYCO Renee Reeder, O.D., FAAO, FBCLA, FSLS, FIACLE, is proud of the four winners and is thankful for the relationship KYCO is building with National Vision.

The scholarship presentation event brought together students, staff and faculty to celebrate the achievements of this year’s recipients and recognize the positive impact of National Vision’s generous contributions to KYCO.
